The new expansion also aims to include interactive activities similar to the ones found in the Mario section of the park. The expansion is going to be based on the Donkey Kong Country games, specifically Tropical Freeze and Donkey Kong Country Returns. The park is scheduled to open sometime in 2025, though whether or not it’s going to include the Donkey Kong expansion remains to be seen. With the Japanese edition of the park launching in 2020 and then only opening this year due to the impact of COVID-19, construction on Super Nintendo World Orlando has been halted, and only started up again recently. Super Nintendo World has yet to make its way to America.
